Lei-Kei Farm grows many different types of vegetables and herbs, with only a few fruits available throughout the year. Although growing seasons for each differs throughout the year, and depend to a large extent on weather trends, we grow the following items (and usually a couple varities of each, many being heirlooms!):
Vegetables: Arugala, String Beans, Beets, Bok Choy, Broccoli, Carrots, Cabbage, Cantaloupe, Celery, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Lettuce, Onions, Asparagus, Sweet Peppers, Hot Peppers, Pumpkins, Peas, Potatoes, Swiss Chard, Spinach, Summer Squash, Winter Squash, Radishes, Heirloom & Cherry Tomatoes of many varieties, Watermelon, Sorrel, Sweet Potatoes, Sweet Corn, and Zucchini
Herbs: Basil, Dill, Cilantro, Parsley, Sage, Mint, Thyme, Oregano, Sweet Marjoram, Taragon, Fennel, and Garlic
Special Items: Apples, Paw-Paws, Pears, Ramps, Watercress, Wine Berries, and Morel Mushrooms (available only in early Spring and not included in the CSA)
While we can't always include all of these items in our CSA program, we do strive for an interesting variety each week. Whether you're a CSA Member or not, if you're interested in purchasing specific vegetables, herbs, or special items directly from the Farm, please contact us for pricing and availability. Our CSA Members are always given first priority for our produce, but if we have extras, we're happy to discuss direct purchases as well. Also, we're always trying out new vegetables and herbs, so feel free to check in with us to see what we've got growing - or even recommend something you'd like to see!
Please note that we do not offer eggs or fruits (other than those specifically listed here).
